Summary: When you mail an item, how much postage does it need? You will figure out how to send your item to different places with the correct amount of postage. Your group will choose a theme and then design a postage stamp series.

1. Plan It

How much postage do you need? Choose a weight from 1 to 10 ounces for your item. Use the postage chart on page 81 or the Postage Chart provided here.

2. Put It Together

A. As a group, choose a theme for your postage stamp designs. Think about themes that interest you. Some ideas include famous women in history, endangered animals, or even outer space.

B. Include postage amounts. Design a stamp for each of the following amounts:
