This exciting site offers a virtual museum of the invention of the airplane. Some features of interest to teachers include the Digital Library, a collection of online articles from as early as 1799 that are relevant to the invention of the airplane. Students will enjoy touring the various online galleries, including a photograph and a movie gallery of early aviation. (Note, the movies on this site are in QuickTime format. If your browser does not have the correct plug-in, a free QuickTime plug-in for Netscape-compatible browsers can be downloaded from the site). Site in English.
