Theme 2: My Family, My Community

Overview

Houghton Mifflin PRE-K includes ten engaging and child-centered themes that will spark imaginations and a love of learning. In Theme 2—My Family, My Community—children are engaged in activities that are focused on their relatives and neighborhoods. The big ideas of the theme include:

Children talk about their families.

Week 2: Hello, Neighbor!

Children learn about neighbors and neighborhoods.

Children find out about the people who work in a community.
