Alan Crawford is Professor of Education at California State University, Los Angeles. Dr. Crawford has written extensively on the subject of literacy for second language learners. He also served as consultant to UNESCO offices in Paris and Santiago de Chile and to ministries of education in Bolivia, Nicaragua, Peru, and Mongolia.
