A Hair-Raising Tale

Karli Mosher from Massachusetts had very long hair. It hung down past her waist. But this student chopped her hair off for a good cause.

Mosher donated her hair to Locks of Love. That is a group that gives wigs to kids who have lost their hair because of certain medical conditions.

After watching a TV program about Locks of Love, Mosher remembered a classmate who had lost her hair. “I felt sad for her,” Karli told Weekly Reader. It was then that Mosher decided to donate her own hair.

Now she plans to grow her hair long again. “In the future, when my hair gets really long, I'm going to do it again, and again!” exclaimed Mosher.
