Roberto Clemente 1934–1972
A Baseball Player with a Dream

Do you have a dream? Roberto Clemente was a great baseball player with a dream. His dream was to hit the ball 3,000 times in his lifetime. Only ten other players had ever done that before. It took 17 years, but finally Clemente made that dream come true in 1972.

Clemente was the first Hispanic in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He won many other awards during his lifetime and has been called one of the best baseball players of all time.
