Daniel Inouye 1924-
United States Senator from Hawaii

Daniel Inouye grew up in Honolulu, a city in Hawaii. He worked hard in school and went to college in Hawaii. When Inouye was 18, he left college to join the army. The United States was in a war. Daniel Inouye wanted to fight for his country. He fought bravely in many battles.

After the war, Inouye went back to Hawaii and finished school. He worked in government and helped make laws for Hawaii. The people of Hawaii chose Inouye to be a United States senator. As a senator, he helps make laws for the whole country. Today, Daniel Inouye is still helping to make our country's laws.
