Learn More About It
California’s regions have very different landforms and climates. Some places along the coast are wet, while the southwestern corner of the state is very dry. The state’s mountain ranges are thousands of feet high, while the Central Valley is low and flat. California Indian groups learned to live in every part of the state. Their ways of living depended on the land and climate in their region.
