A tray of 5 heart shaped cookies. A tray of 10 round cookies. A tray of 8 star shaped cookies.

B.J., Matt, and Sara made cookies. Each made a different cookie shape. Then they sampled each other's cookies.

  • B.J. ate 2 a heart shaped cookie and 1 a star shaped cookie.

  • Matt ate 1 a heart shaped cookie and 1 a star shaped cookie and 1 a round cookie.

  • Sara ate 1 a star shaped cookie and 2 a round cookie.
When they were done eating,
        B.J. had 5 cookies left.
        Matt had 3 cookies left.
        Sara had 7 cookies left.
