Clue and hint	Bus number and place in line
Bus 4 is farthest from the school.	Bus 4 is last.
The number on the third bus comes between 10 and 12.	The number 11 is between 10 and 12. Bus 11 is the third bus.
The number on the second bus is 1 more than the number on the last bus.	One more than 4 is 5. Bus 5 is the second bus.
The number on the first bus is more than the number on any other bus.	The number 12 is more than any other number. Bus 12 is the first bus.
Whatever number is left over must be the number on the fourth bus.	The only bus left is number 10. It is not first, second, third, or last. Bus 10 must be fourth.
