Meet the Author

Carmen Tafolla lives in San Antonio, Texas, where she grew up. She writes poetry, stories, non-fiction, and plays. In one of her plays, Tafolla herself plays many parts: a first-grader, an old lady, a soldier, a janitor, and others.

Tafolla and her husband live in a 100-year-old house in San Antonio called Casa del Angel. They share it with Carmen's mother, three cats, and "from two to seven children, depending on the holiday."
