David Soman

David Soman was born in New York and graduated from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. He is a full-time illustrator and also teaches courses at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Before he became an illustrator, Soman worked as a waiter, a construction worker, and an art restorer. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.

David Soman enjoys going to schools and libraries to meet young people. During some of his visits, he creates stories with students and draws illustrations for them on the spot!
