Can your readers picture your story clearly?

Add details that tell what you saw, heard, felt, smelled, or tasted.

Not enough details: The fireworks were loud but beautiful.

Much better: The fireworks burst with a deep boom. I could even feel it in my stomach, like the bass drum in a parade. Then the sky filled with streams of green, gold, red, pink, and blue sparks.
