Grade 2: Opinion Essay

Don't just stop with your last reason!

Write a closing that tells your opinion again. That way, your readers will remember it. Tell it in a different way than you did in your opening.

Opening: When winter comes, I can't wait till it snows.

Closing that does not retell opinion: That's all I have to say about snow.

Much better closing: Snow is beautiful and lots of fun. A snowy day is a wonderful day.
