How can you make your opening stronger?

Tell your opinion clearly in your opening. Say it in a way that makes your readers want to find out your reasons.

Opinion is not clear: We often have corn on the cob in the summer.

Opinion is not interesting: I like eating corn on the cob.

Much better: I hardly like any vegetables, but I love corn on the cob!
