If your reasons could use more support, try these ideas.

Use facts to support a reason. Facts can be proved true.

Goal: to get an increase in my allowance

Reason: I would like to learn how to budget money.

Supported with fact: Budgeting is a skill that I can use all my life.

Don't use opinions to support a reason.

Opinion: I think all parents should give generous allowances.

Use examples to support a reason.

Example: Last week I had to ask for money for a new jacket. If I had a larger allowance, I could plan for these expenses.
