Grade 7: Story
If your story has no particular setting, try these ideas.
- Give details that describe the physical place.
Sadie woke up early and lay in bed, gazing around the room. Against the long wall were her desk, cluttered with books and papers, a bookshelf, and her sister's desk, neatly decked with stuffed animals and ceramic horses. Then came the door and the closet on the short wall. Opposite the desks were a window and Meredith's bed, and little Meredith, still asleep.
- Give details that show the story's place in time.
Kendra and Bart slipped into their space suits. In this flight, they hoped to make history—the first Worldians to travel beyond our solar system. Even for the twenty-fifth century, this would be a stupendous feat.
