Grade 6: Research Report
If your report skips around with no clear pattern, try one of these ideas.
- Put the information in time order. This can work well for reports about people, history, inventions, and processes.
- Arrange the information from most familiar to least familiar. This can work well for reports about animals, plants, places, and so on.
- Order the information by cause and effect. This can work well for reports on science topics such as earth science, the weather, outer space, and so on.
- Use transitional words and phrases to link information.
- In fact, since ancient times and up to the eighteenth century, court jesters provided pranks as well as sassy wit to entertain rulers.
