Demographics of sample population:
Alston Middle School enrolls students in grades 6-8. The total population of 761 students is comprised of approximately 66% Caucasian students, 33% African American, .05% Asian, .03% Hispanic, and .03% American Indian or Alaskan.

Purpose of study:
Measure progress over time of Soar to Success middle school students.

Methodology:
At the time of the implementation of this program, level 7 & 8 Soar kits were not yet available. Seventh–grade students were using level 6 kits in a pull-out program.
