1. Prices:

Except where noted, all materials in the print and online catalogs are shown at school price (list price less regular education discount). Non-educational customers should contact the Customer Service Center for current list prices. PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

2. Trade/Reference Product Information:

Prices for Houghton Mifflin's Trade and Reference Division titles are shown at list price and are subject to a Trade discount. Trade/reference discount schedule:

1-49 copies, 35% off list price; 50 copies or more, 40% off list price. The discount schedule and prices are subject to change without notice. Trade and Reference Division titles may not meet NASTA manufacturing specifications.

3. Transportation and Handling Costs (for Domestic Orders):

Transportation and handling costs are additional. Shipping charges are prepaid and added to the invoice. If net-delivered prices are needed, please contact the Customer Service Center. If payment is enclosed with your order, please add 9% or $4.00, whichever is greater, to cover transportation and handling costs for domestic orders except in Alaska and Hawaii. Customers from Alaska and Hawaii should call 800-733-2828 for a transportation quote since it will normally exceed 9%. Add, where applicable, state and local taxes. Please allow 10 working days for normal delivery.

4. Special Shipping:

Please indicate any special shipping instructions on your order form. If a method of transportation is not specified, we will determine the appropriate method. Please allow 3 weeks for normal delivery.

5. Terms:

Accounts are payable in 30 days. Purchasers who do not have accounts should include payment with their order, including transportation and handling costs and tax, if applicable. A Tax Exempt Certificate must be received by Customer Service to apply tax exempt status to new accounts. Purchase order numbers are required if billing a public school district.

6. Credit Card Orders:

To charge your order on VISA, MasterCard, or American Express, include the credit card number, cardholder's zip code, expiration date, and a daytime phone number. All credit card orders must be signed and include transportation and handling costs plus applicable sales tax. Please complete this printable order form for credit card sales and fax to the Customer Service Center at 800-733-2098.

7. Examination Copies:

Requests for examination copies of books being considered for class use should be sent to the Sales Support Center.

8. Returns:

Materials may be returned within 10 months (1 month for home schools and individuals) of the invoice date if in unmarked, unused, and in salable condition. Stamped books are not returnable.

Prior authorization must be obtained for all returns.

To ensure the proper and timely crediting of your account, please have ready a copy of your invoice and the title, price, and quantity of books to be returned.

9. Technology Preview Policy:

All multimedia products are available for a 30-day preview. Previews are limited to the single-user version. (Lab packs and Site Licenses are not available for preview.) Preview copies include the appropriate software material and print material for the product selected. You will receive an invoice upon shipment of your preview copy. If you decide to keep the material, simply pay the invoice. If you decide to return the material it must be in salable condition. Call the Customer Service Center to obtain a return authorization. There is no charge for the return.
